Overview
Virtual Run is a brand that promotes a healthy lifestyle through movement. They encourage people to exercise physically by choosing either a 5k or a 10k run or challenge. Upon completion, users can return to the platform and reward themselves by buying a themed medal.

Our design thinking
They came to us for a redesign of their website with the aim to make the platform more appealing to users but, more importantly, to make it accessible and more inspiring. We came up with a different style guide for the redesign whilst taking into account who the target audience was and their needs, and then we came up with the best UI/UX solutions.
Finished product
Since the medals were all themed and thus very colourful and funky, we wanted the products to speak for themselves, so we went for a crisp black overall feel. The goal of the redesign was to give the platform a clean vibe, whilst keeping it cool, bold and inspiring and to create the idea of an adventure outside, in nature. At its core, Virtual Run is an eCommerce website, so we followed standard practices and patterns to make sure users are familiar with the interaction and help them achieve their goals with no pain points. We also aimed to make the platform responsive for both tablet and mobile to account for an optimised browsing experience to have more traffic, lower bounce rates and higher conversion rates, and a better user experience.
