Overview
Healthily is the world’s first medically approved self-care app, with a mission to help a billion people find their health through self-care. At the beginning of 2021, they approached SDS to fill a design gap with all things app, web and marketing. The main challenges included increasing user retention for their health tracking app, optimising web experience to enforce trust, expanding their reach through public advertisement and creating materials to attain additional funding.
Healthily is one of the UK's “go-to” apps for any symptom tracking and health concerns, mainly because of its high degree of accuracy due to its revolutionary AI system. This fact prompted our decision to ground any design using three core pillars - Trustworthy, reliability and accessibility. Combined with their bold and engaging brand, these guiding pillars would help communicate and ultimately progress the company’s message and goals.

Our design thinking
We launched fresh features, marketing campaigns and sales collateral, supporting Healthily to grow its team and move into the next stage of its business progression. We animated daily health tracking assets to encourage users to make healthy choices and discourage damaging ones. Healthily’s vibrant and approachable brand identity gave us much to work with. After a successful partnership, they contacted us to design a video advertisement campaign. This played at New Street Station in Birmingham and hospitals around the country, drawing thousands of views from potential Healthily customers.
Finished product
Our marketing campaigns helped draw visibility to the brand and product, and as we wrapped our work for them, the app downloads continued to increase. We were thrilled to see our design work for the Healthily pitch deck helped to win an endorsement deal with Walmart. This partnership resulted in the launch of the medically-verified Cold, Flu and COVID AI Checker from Healthily on walmart.com.
The Cold, Flu, and COVID AI Checker is free to use and follows CDC guidelines, providing expert-led advice for the next steps. Here at Shoreditch Design, we are enthusiastic about the impact of how good designs drive medically approved content forward. The collaboration between Healthily and Shoreditch continued past the initial brief and helped establish an accessible and reliable healthcare product.
