Supported Aegon’s UX team to finalise key user flows, ensuring accessibility, documenting scenarios, and preparing developer handoffs.
Overview
Aegon, a leading insurance provider, enlisted our expertise to support their User Experience (UX) team during a pivotal transition. We stepped in to cover for their lead UX professional who was departing, ensuring that critical projects were completed seamlessly. This primarily involved finalizing key customer and client flows, such as the quote and apply processes, while maintaining alignment with the company’s overarching design system and development goals.
Our design thinking
Our approach was deeply collaborative, working closely with Aegon’s UX and backend teams to refine and implement necessary UX changes. We focused on creating cohesive and accessible user experiences while prioritizing clear developer handoffs. This included ensuring thorough scenario mapping, accessibility compliance, and comprehensive tagging, all of which were essential for the functionality and inclusivity of the finished products. By documenting each scenario meticulously, we laid a solid foundation for the development team to execute efficiently and effectively.
Finished product
The finalized deliverables were robust, accessible, and well-documented UX flows integrated seamlessly into Aegon’s design system. The quote and apply flows were optimized for both user interaction and backend implementation, ensuring consistency and alignment with the company’s standards. With every scenario mapped and clearly documented, the developers were equipped to bring these designs to life, confident in their usability and accessibility. This collaborative effort ensured a smooth transition and successful project completion for Aegon.
